Justyna Latomska is the founder of McKenzieFriend.eu and an experienced family law specialist in the United Kingdom. For many years, she has supported litigants in person, helping them navigate complex, often emotionally demanding family court proceedings.
She graduated from the University of Opole in 2004 with a Master’s degree in Pedagogy, specialising in Social Work. She has lived in the United Kingdom since 2005.
Her professional path in family law began in 2011, when she herself faced a difficult divorce, financial settlement, and child arrangements proceedings, representing herself before the court. This personal experience became the catalyst for developing her legal knowledge and for providing practical, real-world support to others in similar life situations.
In 2014, she completed professional McKenzie Friend training courses in London. Since then, she has supported clients across England and Wales in matters relating to divorce, child arrangements, parental alienation, the division of assets, and urgent applications in cases of domestic abuse.
Justyna Latomska is valued for her calm, structured approach, transparent and accessible explanations of court procedures, and full commitment to every case she supports. She combines professionalism with empathy and practical guidance, helping clients regain a sense of control, safety, and confidence. She continuously develops her qualifications to ensure the highest standard of support — both in and out of the courtroom.

Paulina Paterek joined the McKenzieFriend.eu team in 2021. She has lived in the United Kingdom since 2016, during which time she has gained professional experience in administration, finance, and client work involving complex and challenging life circumstances. She has worked, among others, as a coordinator in the care sector and within financial departments, developing strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills. She also has experience as a medical interpreter, supporting patients within the NHS and other public institutions.
Her involvement in family law has a deep, personal dimension, stemming from her own experience of domestic abuse and court proceedings, during which she received support from Justyna Latomska. This gives her a strong understanding of the realities of family law cases in the UK, the emotions clients experience, and the importance of empathetic yet precise and reliable support.
Paulina has completed qualifications including Family Law Level 5, HR Management Level 7, and Business Administration Levels 3 and 4. She has also studied Graphic Design and is currently continuing her education at the UK Management College, consistently developing her professional skills.
At McKenzieFriend.eu, she performs a dual role. As a McKenzie Friend, she provides both substantive and emotional support to clients, combining family law knowledge with a practical, human approach. In parallel, she is responsible for the firm’s creative direction - including marketing, visual communication, and graphic design - ensuring a coherent, professional brand image.
Paulina is recognised for her empathy, composure, clarity, and ability to explain complex issues clearly. Clients value her authenticity, dedication, and the sense that they are guided step by step through their case with understanding and respect.

We work as a team, combining legal, linguistic, administrative, and lived experience. This ensures that every client receives comprehensive, thoughtful, and practical support.

We explain procedures in a simple and understandable way, without unnecessary complexity. We guide you step by step, so you always know what is happening now and what will happen next.

We base our work on facts and family law, analyse evidence, and prepare documentation with precision. At the same time, drawing on our own court experience, we understand the client’s emotions and provide genuine, empathetic support at every stage of the case.
